Powertrac 434 Diesel Saver 2WD Price October 2026
The Powertrac 434 Diesel Saver is the 35 HP-category, 2WD tractor in the current Indian Diesel Saver range. The useful buying question is whether its single-clutch layout and modest PTO output suit the equipment already on the farm. The 434 name alone is insufficient: this page covers the base Diesel Saver, not the 434 Plus or 434 RDX.
Check the power at the implement
Powertrac’s brochure gives a three-cylinder 2.14-litre engine, 126 Nm torque and 31.5 PTO HP. The 8F + 2R constant-mesh gearbox uses a centre-shift lever. A buyer considering a PTO-driven machine should compare its required shaft power and speed with these separate entries, rather than treating 35 engine HP as available at the PTO.
For a cultivator, ask for a demonstration at the intended depth and soil condition; the number of tines alone cannot establish a match. For a thresher or rotary implement, have the dealer explain what happens to PTO drive when the travel clutch is operated. Do not assume the single-clutch machine provides the same control behaviour as a dual-clutch alternative.
Lift, tyres and the competing quotation
The published lift is 1600 kg and the fuel tank holds 50 litres. Neither figure is a trailer payload or an hourly fuel-use claim. Rear tyre choices are 12.4 x 28 and 13.6 x 28; record the supplied option because the brochure’s 1805 kg weight and 2010 mm wheelbase do not replace a loaded-implement stability check.
The same brochure puts the 434 Plus at 37 HP and 33.5 PTO HP. Compare the quoted specification, tyre package and clutch operation before paying for the higher badge. For short seasonal work, include local service access and the cost of hiring the occasional heavier operation in the decision; a larger tractor is not automatically the cheaper annual solution.
Indian price and evidence
TractorGuru lists ₹5.03–₹5.22 lakh ex-showroom for the 434 DS, checked 20 October 2026. This is an indicative India-wide range without a specified district; its equipment options need confirmation. It is not an on-road price or a quote for the RDX.
Powertrac product page and Indian range brochure, checked 20 October 2026. This is a specification-led buying assessment, not a field test. Obtain a dated local quotation identifying the exact equipment and separating the base price, applicable insurance, registration, transport and accessories.
Use the tyre identification guide to record the actual tyre markings before comparing fitment options.
