VST 927 4WD Price October 2026

VST’s current Indian 927 is a 24 HP-category compact with a four-cylinder 1306 cc engine and 19.1 PTO HP. The most useful detail in its brochure is not the horsepower badge: it is the separate Sugarcane, Spraying and Puddling columns. Buying a generic “927 4WD” without identifying that configuration can leave you comparing the wrong tyres, width or PTO speeds.

Three columns describe different equipment combinations

The Sugarcane column lists 5 × 12 front and 8 × 18 rear tyres, with widths of 940 or 1090 mm. Spraying and Puddling list 6 × 12 fronts and 8.3 × 20 rears, with widths of 1000 or 1080 mm. These are the brochure’s configuration entries, not freely interchangeable tyre sets. Ask which approved setting and matched tyres the dealer is supplying.

For a narrow inter-row route, check the whole machine and implement at the offered setting. The smallest figure in the sheet does not apply to every version. Compare it with the orchard access worksheet, including the return turn and the loaded sprayer’s envelope.

PTO maximum speed is not an implement instruction

The maximum PTO-speed row gives 646 and 953 for Sugarcane and Puddling, but 549 and 810 for Spraying. It does not give a complete engine-to-shaft operating chart. Obtain that chart from the operator manual and have the implement supplier confirm the required setting. Do not simply run the engine at its rated speed and assume the attachment receives its approved input.

The shared transmission specification is a single dry clutch and side-shift sliding-mesh gearbox with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears. Forward and reverse speed ranges also differ between the application columns. A claim taken from the quickest listed combination is not a guaranteed working speed for another version, soil condition or attachment.

What the shared hydraulic figures can establish

All three columns share Category I linkage, automatic draft and depth control, and 750 kg lift. This helps start a compatibility discussion; it does not approve a loaded sprayer solely because its total mass is below that figure. Have the dealer assess mounting geometry, rear overhang and ballast. The sheet also lists an 18-litre fuel tank and 784 kg total weight; neither establishes fuel consumption or permitted trailer loading.

If your main reason for considering the 927 is a hydraulic or PTO task, ask for a controlled demonstration with the intended approved attachment. Compare the result with another candidate using the same job and measurements, not a horsepower-only ranking.
