Fieldking FKMDPD-2 Disc Plough Price October 2026
The Fieldking FKMDPD-2 is the two-disc model in the manufacturer's domestic disc-plough range. Keep the full code on the quotation: FKMDPD-2 is not the similarly named FKMDP-2 from the separate mounted range. It is a draft implement for opening and turning soil, rather than a PTO-powered rotavator or a multi-disc finishing harrow.
What the domestic model offers
Fieldking's current domestic product table specifies two plain discs, 660 mm diameter with 6 mm thickness, 570 mm disc spacing, approximately 500–550 mm tillage width and two bearing hubs. Category II mounting and a 50–60 HP tractor range are stated. The approximate mass is 385 kg in that table; the older domestic brochure shows 350 kg and a different disc thickness. Specify the current build in writing before comparing quotations or replacement discs.
The narrow working width matters to the work plan. Do not estimate acres per hour from the tractor's power or assume the full frame width becomes cultivated width. Turns, overlap, soil resistance and the desired finish determine the field result. A wider harrow and this plough do different stages of the job.
Choose the operation before choosing the price
A disc plough deserves consideration when the job calls for primary soil opening and mixing. A mould-board plough is an alternative when the required soil inversion pattern is the deciding issue. Neither choice should be settled by a claim that one tool works perfectly in every soil. Ask for a pass in your residue and moisture conditions, and inspect penetration, unworked strips and the finish before ordering.
Compare the role with the site's Fieldking MB plough, but obtain current specifications for the exact alternative. Any follow-up cultivation belongs in the total job cost. Confirm hitch clearance, transport stability and the approved front-ballast arrangement with the tractor supplier; a nominal lift figure alone does not approve the combination. For maintenance, ask for the hub lubrication schedule, bearing part numbers, disc replacement limits and tightening instructions.
Price in India and quotation scope
On 14 October 2026, TractorKarvan displayed an indicative starting price of ₹62,187 for FKMDPD-2. It is an India-wide portal reference without a specified district or a clear tax-and-delivery basis, not a confirmed ex-showroom or on-road total. Have the dealer itemise the exact discs, supplied equipment, applicable tax, freight and commissioning. A cheaper quotation for the other mounted model is not automatically comparable.
